Stix Noodle & Grill

Stix is a small Vietnamese noodle shop on Commercial Drive with a walk-up food counter. Unlike most other Vietnamese restaurants I've been to, this place is unusually neat and tidy with a modern ambiance.

I ordered a noodle soup with chicken ($6.99) that came with bean sprouts, green and white onions, and a sprig of basil. It was tasty, but the portion was a bit small.

I got a tofu skewer ($1.99) to go with the noodles. The tofu cubes were deep fried and put on a skewer with spicy sweet and sour sauce. The sauce was delicious and the tofu was crispy and savoury.

I used a GoodNews voucher for the order, so it was a pretty good deal. I was satisfied with the taste of the food, but I wouldn't come back at regular price because the portions were so small. I wasn't even very hungry, and I didn't feel full at all after this meal.
