White Spot (Ackroyd) - Pirate Pak Day!

August 18, 2010
Yay! Today is Pirate Pak Day at White Spot. I've seen many kids at the mall eating from those paper pirate boats filled with food, and I've always wanted one :D Finally my chance to have my very own food boat! For $9.99 I got a legendary burger pak with coleslaw, endless fries and juice, as well as a small scoop of chocolate ice cream and a chocolate gold coin. My apple juice looked a lot like beer! And for some reason Kish got ice, a slice of lemon, and a straw with his drink... but I just got juice in a glass. That was a good thing though because I don't like ice in my drinks :) And my coleslaw came late because they were super busy today. We had to wait 15 minutes for our table at 5:30 pm!

Of course I couldn't resist adding a blueberry pie for $3.00. And it was yummy! Not your typical pie with custard, jam or compote, but a heap of actual fresh blueberries piled in a personal size crust! I was so excited when it came that I dug in right away and forgot to take a picture. I remembered halfway through, and Kish's pie still looked ok from my angle, so I ended up getting a pic of his pie instead (well half of it anyway...) :P

Finally we finished off with ice cream. He went for vanilla and I went for chocolate. It was probably just store-bought ice cream, but I was too excited about my pirate boat to care :D
